What to Expect and how to Buy
Economical
Retail prices of low quality cuts of beef are outrageous. Most of what you buy is not breed, born, or raised here; some isn't even processed or packaged here. Much of what you buy is a combination of many head of cattle of a variety of cattle breeds and ages. There is no knowing the health, condition, or age of the beef that you are consuming. Even considering all of that, if you attempted to replicate your final cut sheet at the retail or grocery store you would at least the same if not more in most cases.
Our beef is all natural, locally raised, grass-fed, and grain-finished. E2C Cattle Co. beef is higher quality than what you'll find at most grocery stores. The beef you buy is from one angus-cross animal which is born, bred, and raised in Wagoner County, OK.
When you buy from us you will get high quality steak cuts, hamburger meat, roasts, and more. Pricing is based in the current market; please visit our online shop for current prices.
How Many Pounds?
We aim to produce a 1200 lbs animal for slaughter. After processing, consumers can expect 40%+ of the live weight to be packaged and ready to eat. This is called the finished weight. Most people will see 500lbs of packaged meat for a whole side and 250lbs of packaged meat for a half side.
Live Weight: Weight at time of processing.
Hot Hanging Weight: Approximately 60% of live weight (720lbs).
Finished Weight: Approximately 70% of Hot Hanging Weight or 40% of live weight.

FINAL YIELD
When comparing products make sure you know what the final yield (packaged weight) will be. We base pricing on live cattle futures; our yield is right at 40% of live weight. Beef purchasing is difficult to compare; just know what you are getting for the money. Some cattle breeds yield way less than 40% and buyers can pay for more bones and trim than edible beef.
More on Price
The purchase of a whole or half side of beef is approximately $9.50/pound of packaged beef.
Buyers should expect to pay $4,790.00 for 500lbs of packaged beef.
Buyers should expect to pay $2,400.00 for 250lbs of packaged beef.
PRICING IS BASED ON VARIABLE MARKET RATES. WHEN YOU RESERVE FROM US YOU WILL LOCK IN YOUR RATES AT THE TIME OF SALE. WE WILL NOT SUPRISE YOU WITH A SUDDEN INCREASE IN PRICE. NEVER, NOT EVER.
The pricing includes all processing and packaging costs. Most buyers pick-up beef from the processor in Inola, but delivery can be arranged for $100 in a 30 mile radius.
About our Beef
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
OKLAHOMA CERTIFIED
E2C Cattle Co manages a small cow-calf operation ; approximately 100 momma cows. Our cows are Angus and Angus-Hereford cross cattle. Our cattle are pasture born, bred, raised, and processed right here in Oklahoma. At weaning, about 9 months of age, our feeder cattle transition to a variety of forage types with grain supplementation for the final 100 days to reach the slaughter weight of 1,200lbs.
PRIME GRADE
We aim to put a high quantity of fat (taste) and marbling (tenderness) into our cattle to provide the consumer the best product and most enjoyment from the purchase. Angus cattle can achieve the best and highest beef quality grading, prime, which many competitors cannot or do not obtain. Our meat will be growth hormone free, no vaccinations in the feeder program and no antibiotics. Packaging will be free of preservatives and food dyes. This is the most natural and flavorful beef around.
